HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?
I AM FRANKENSTEIN is a solo performance created and performed by Agnes Oberauer. Using Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, the human body and posthumanism as a starting point, the performance explores the question of what it means to be human today.
As part of the performance I aim to create an installation of mannequins at Kanuti Gildi Saal. In order to finance the creation of the installation and performance, I have decided to sell my skin as advertising space.
I propose the following deal to any company that wishes to sponsor me:
FOR THE PRICE OF 99 EUROS I WILL PUT YOUR LOGO ON MY SKIN FOR THE DURATION OF THE PERFORMANCES
I WILL ALSO PAINT YOUR LOGO ON ONE OF THE MANNEQUINS
1 SPONSOR = 1 LOGO ON MY SKIN = 1 MANNEQUIN
The number of mannequins in the installation will directly correspond to the number of companies willing to pay for advertising space.
My skin surface area is 1.651 m2. While this number is subject to fluctuations due to factors such as hormonal changes and eating habits, my calculations reveal that I can accomodate up to 50 logos on the surface of my skin.
I hope this deal will be attractive to companies who want to promote their brand.
The performance will premiere on the 20th of May 2021 in Kanuti Gildi Saal, Tallinn and a livestream version of the performance will premiere on the 22nd of May. In case the COVID-19 restrictions persist, all performances will be livestreamed.
